Lavender Flowers Tea

This West Mediterranean native was one of the principal herbs used by the ancient Greeks and Romans; its fresh, clean scent was their favourite bath water additive.

Today, Lavender is in high demand because of its beautiful scent and unique properties. It is used in cosmetics such as soaps, lotions, Lavender water and is the cornerstone of the essential oil market. It also has varied culinary uses in meats, jams, and teas. If you are a Lavender fiend, try steaming or boiling these whole flowers to fill your home with its essence.

Directions for Great Tea:
To get the most medicinal benefit, use this method of brewing. It's known as the infusion method.
• Good water is an essential part of brewing great tea. We recommend using spring or filtered water.
• Pour boiling water over the desired amount of herbs. Cover and let steep 10 to 20 minuites.
• When the tea has steeped long enough, strain off the herbs using a tea strainer or coffee filter.
