Herbal Zap works according to the principles of Ayurveda. It contains 14 potent Ayurvedic herbs. The ingredients are wild gathered wherever possible and always herbicide and pesticide free. Herbal Zap improves the balance of the vital energies, doshas, increases Agni, "inner-fire", and promotes a positive state of health. It was formulated and tested by eminent Ayurvedic physicians in Sri Lanka in partnership with Western Science researchers.
Herbal Zap is based on the traditional Sri Lankan Peyawa. A Peyawa is a mixture of herbs brewed in hot water which are used at the onset of cold and flu to strengthen the vital energies that maintain respiratory balance.
When the doshas are not in a state of balance, the equilibrium of health is distorted and illness can occur. HERBAL ZAP is specially designed to balance the doshas and revive Agni ("life-fire"). It helps to spark the internal fire so you have the power to remain in a positive state of health. The herbs in HERBAL ZAP have also been well documented by the Scientific community to have health promoting qualities.
In addition, the herbs in HERBAL ZAP help to:
- Reduce Vata and Kapha in the head and chest
- Increases Pitta in a balanced way that lends heat to the immune system with out creating an excess of Pitta.
- Build internal “heat” to strengthen the system.
- Act in a tri-doshic way to promote well being
The healing science of Ayurveda is rooted in ancient India with its origins dating 5000 years ago. Today, Ayurveda is a continuously evolving system practiced by well over 100 million individuals in Sri Lanka, Nepal and in the West. Ayurveda, an intricate natural health system, focuses on creating balance in all aspects of life. Ayurveda provides guidelines for healthy living as well as therapeutic measures that aim to restore physical, mental, social, spiritual and environmental harmony. Ayurveda recognizes three fundamental constitutional principles which regulate natural processes. These three energies are known as the doshas. The Three Doshas are:
Comprised of the qualities of air and space. Vata is dry, light, cold, rough, subtle, mobile, and clear. Vata regulates the principle of movement. Chewing, swallowing, nerve impulses, breathing, muscle movements, thinking, peristalsis, bowel movements, urination, menstruation—are dominantly regulated by vata. When vata is out of balance, any number of these movements may be negatively affected.
Comprised of the qualities of fire and water. Pitta is sharp, penetrating, hot, light, liquid, mobile, and oily. Pitta regulates the principle actions of transformation. It is in dominant action any time the body converts or processes something. Pitta oversees digestion, metabolism, temperature maintenance, sensory perception, and mental comprehension. When pitta is out of balance, it can lead to sharpness, inflammation, excess heat in the above mentioned areas.
Comprised of the qualities of earth and water. Kapha is heavy, cold, dull, oily, smooth, dense, soft, static, liquid, cloudy, hard, and gross. Kapha governs stability and structure, it forms the substance of the human body, from the skeleton to various organs to the fatty molecules (lipids) that support the body. An excess of kapha leads to an overabundance of density, heaviness, and excess in the body. It is often associated with an excess of mucus in the body.
In addition to the more physical aspects of Ayurveda, it is important to recognize, that the subtler aspects of the mind body union are equally valued. As such, Ayurveda offers tools to address and bring balance in these realms as well as partnering with the sister science of Yoga to restore wholeness and harmony.
Herbal Zap was formulated and tested by eminent Ayurvedic physicians in Sri Lanka in partnership with Western Science researchers. In a few months a recent clinical trial that tests the efficacy of Herbal Zap at the onset of respiratory distress will be published. Preliminary results show its efficacy at promoting immune system and overall health.
