MEET THE BULLDOG

There are hundreds of male grooming products out there, but for the founders of Bulldog, they just weren't cutting the mustard. All they wanted were natural products that got the job done hassle free.

RECLAIM THE BATHROOM

Why is it that she gets all the space in the bathroom cabinet? And it seems that even when they're "our" products, they're just her brands with a different label. Bulldog skincare has been specifically formulated and designed for men. At last there's a range that you can be proud to call your own.

LET'S FACE IT

There's something just a little bit cheesy about those ripped models showering in slow motion in black and white. The Bulldog may not be nature's prettiest beast, nor the most athletic, but he's loyal, trustworthy and when push comes to shove he's always by your side.

THE UNDERDOGS

Bulldog was founded by Simon Duffy and Rhodri Ferrier in 2006. They are a small, independent company based in London. The products were initially only available at Sainsbury's, but are now available nationwide in the UK and are increasingly found overseas.

They're still very much the underdog when it comes to their competitors. Most of them have billion dollar budgets and teams of thousands. Duffy and Ferrier don't have those kinds of resources or wallets, but they're pretty certain they've got something better - great products.

BULLDOG AND THE ENVIRONMENT

They like to think that they are doing their bit to make the male grooming market more environmentally friendly. All Bulldog products are manufactured in the UK. Unlike many competitors, they think that transporting empty bottles and tubes from one country, filling them in another and selling them in a third is fundamentally damaging to the environment. All Bulldog packaging is recyclable, which is great, but they'd love to use post-consumer recycled plastic in the bottles and tubes. Bulldog is currently trialing post consumer recycled plastic from milk bottles.

As you might expect, no animals were harmed in the making of Bulldog products and they maintain very strict guidelines around the inclusion of ingredients from animal sources and animal testing. No Bulldog products are ever tested on animals and Bulldog also monitors their entire supply chain to ensure that none of their partners are conducting tests on the ingredients they use.

Bulldog Natural Skin Care are certified by the BUAV under the Humane Cosmetics Standards (HCS). Launched in 1998, the HCS is the only internationally recognised scheme that enables consumers to easily identify and purchase cosmetic and toiletry products that have not been tested on animals.

Ingredients derived from animal sources are widely used in personal care products, which is fairly gross. Bulldog uses vegetable oils like, coconut, and sunflower and their derivatives instead of animal-based options. All Bulldog products are now approved by the Vegetarian Society.

They Are Animal (Particularly Dog) Friendly

It's fair to say that dogs occupy a large part of their lives one way or another. Bulldog is man's best friend.
