Muira Puama is a libido enhancing herb from the Caboclos Indians of the Amazon rain forest of Brazil. It has been shown to inhibit the binding of testosterone to albumin in the bloodstream. Once testosterone is bound to albumin it is no longer active and by inhibiting its binding testosterone levels are gradually going to rise. Thus, making more testosterone available for stimulating muscle growth and reproductive activity.
